Officially sponsored by Görgülü Grup, organised by Emy Organizasyon and supported by Muratpaşa Municipality, Antalya Fashion Week kicked off with strong interest from Antalya’s fashion lovers.

Over two days, seven collections were presented and industry workshops drew a large audience.

The collection that earned a standing ovation on the first day came from guest Algerian designer Mohamed Mehaoudi. His “Africa” collection, inspired by his country’s ethnic patterns and style and by the Sahara Desert, won full marks from the Antalya audience. On the same day, Jabo Wedding House and Argento took to the runway with their spring–summer collections.

On the second day, women designers on the runway shared messages for International Women’s Day on 8 March.

The second day opened with Elif Uysal’s collection in white and moon grey. Burcu Kandemir presented her collection with the words “You are a woman, you can achieve anything”, showing designs that complement beauty without overshadowing it.

Manolya Ülkü left her mark on the second day with an artistic show. For the first time in the world, the paintings of a living artist were turned into wearable art. Painter Derya Yıldız watched the show from the front row, and in the finale Manolya Ülkü declared, “Woman is art.”

The finale of Antalya Fashion Week featured Güler Baysal’s collection “Melankoli”. Saluting timelessness amid today’s chaos, every piece of the women’s and men’s collection was crafted using haute couture techniques.
